Teen Anxiety

teen anxiety

Hi! It’s Eby from Aby and Eby’s downtime talk. One topic that is very serious that I’d like to talk about today is ANXIETY.

Now I know that most of us teens tend to get a little anxious, even I do sometimes. When I have to present my work to the class or even get up and talk to my classmates my palms get sweaty and my heart starts to race. Just know you are not alone!

Eby’s Handy Tips

1. BREATHE

There is beauty in simplicity. As simple as it is, breathing will help you relieve the built-up tension, stress of anxiety you have been holding in. Never be afraid to have a good cry and don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone😊

2. It’s OK

Tell yourself it’s OK. Know that your fear wont last forever and that everything will turn out OK if you try your best. Things are more likely to improve if you tell yourself everything will be OK. You gotta fake it until you make it!

3. TALK to SOMEONE

If you are seriously going through a rough time, nothing is better than confiding in someone you trust. The person will comfort you and allow you to gain that much needed balance and confidence in the area you are struggling in.

4. THINK POSITIVE

Do you see the glass as half full or half empty? I know it can be hard but thinking positive can change EVERYTHING!!! Ultimately it is what YOU do that will affect YOUR life. It’s your choice…

I CHALLENGE YOU to do something that I have started today.

Keep a Joy Journal. In a Joy Journal, every day, you can write down something you are either truly grateful for, what made you smile, or what brought you joy.

Now go, go, go. Get writing!

Leave a comment and let me know what you think! Be sure to share this post and follow the Simple Teen Life Blog.

Thanks for reading and keep it simple! #dailydowntime
